A flash of potential good news from the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic: A treatment is showing promise. Doctors in France, South Korea and the U.S. are using an antimalarial drug known as hydroxychloroquine with success.

They are actually testing both hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine.
Chloroquine is chloroquine phosphate, used as both a fish cleaner and malarial treatment. It was used for decades before hydroxychloroquine and still is widely used. It’s cheaper but more dangerous than hcq due to overdose hazard.
HCQ might be more promising but they’re trying both.
On 17 March 2020, the AIFA Scientific Technical Commission of the Italian Medicines Agency expressed a favorable opinion on including the off-label use of chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of COVID-19.

On 13 February 2020, hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine were recommended by a South Korean task force for the experimental treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). ( Physicians work out treatment guidelines for coronavirus. Korea Biomedical Review. 13 February 2020.)
Bet more Health Care Workers wished they worked for these guys “...With our colleague Dr. Joe Brewer in Kansas City, Mo., we are using hydroxychloroquine in two ways: to treat patients and as prophylaxis to protect health-care workers from infection. ...”
Shhhhhh, people are not panicked enough. Maybe we can even get direct voting without an Electoral College. Keep dumpster burning!!! /4am-tp-off
In the meantime at the FDA...

Front Line ER Physician in Dallas Sees Coronavirus Treatment Success
snip
One patient, a 58-year-old man, tested positive for COVID-19. He was told to
isolate, but when he got worse on the sixth day, he returned to the emergency
room. Phelan administered hydroxychloroquine, known for treating malaria,
along with other appropriate measures and saw vast improvement within
24 hours.
The patient, Stephen Lockwood, was pleased with the course of treatment.
He had come to Dallas from the Seattle area to do some work for a few
days. He started experiencing symptoms on the day he was supposed to
fly back to Seattle.
Good thing Peter Alexander wasn’t in charge. He was willing to dismiss this as “false hope”.
Another one to add to my growing stack of positive anecdotal evidence. Thanks.
The evil enemedia and Left will fight this tooth and nail to get rid of Trump (us) and end the United States.
Is irrelevant because the drugs have been on the market so long and other countries have been doing the heavy lifting of publishing clinical trials with the chicom virus.
Fuddy Duddy Administration
Thanks for the references.
Here is the French trial.

But Governor Cuomo made it illegal to try it!
Because he must RESIST TRUMP.
Hopefully, there will be a cure or vaccine for Coronavirus soon. Then we can finally get back to normal.
I read that a factory in West Virginia, or that part of the country, used to make hydroxychloroquine and had been closed for years has re-open and expects to begin to ship them out by the end of the month.
I believe they will work out “protocols” for its effective use over the next 2-3 weeks, then we can all go back to work. If you get sick, this will pull you through as if you only had the flue. I think we are nearly the end of this quarantine business.
Fauci said it needs testing and more testing and more testing....
Glad to hear that...
